And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

All of the Lord’s teachings come down to choices and He has identified the right choice.  It then comes down to do we go with the Lord or lean to our own understanding?

Let us Think on this:

Today we have higher buildings and wider highways but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view.

We spend more money, but enjoy less.  We have bigger homes, but smaller families.  We have more compromises, but less time. We have more knowledge, but less judgment.  We have more medications, but less health.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.  We talk much, we love only a little and we hate too much.

We reached the moon and came back, but we fine it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors.

We have conquered the outer space but not our inner space.

We have higher income, but lower morals…..

These are times with more liberty, but less joy….

With much more food, but less nutrition…

These are days in which two salaries come home, but divorces increase.  These are times of finer houses, but more broken homes.

Proverbs 3:5-10, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  6  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.  7  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.  8  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. {health: Heb. medicine} {marrow: Heb. watering, or, moistening}  9  Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:  10  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”

Joshua 24:15,  Joshua had to make a choice and he made it this day (today), just who he would serve, and he chose the Lord and His ways.

How long will we halt between two opinions?  If the Lord be God then follow Him and if you will be god then continue on a pathway of confusion and disappointment.   God’s Word is true, it is absolute and either we own this truth or we live with chaos.  Psalm 33:11, 11  The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

It is either God’s way or man’s way…. and so far as I can tell, God has never failed and man rarely succeeds.  I suggest we go with the Lord.   Choose Life and God is life and that eternal and abundant and full of joy!

Let us not be a part of those who justify the wicked and condemn the just but let us be of a sound mind and as keepers of the law of God.  Proverbs 28:4,  “They that forsake the law praise  the wicked: but such as keep the law  contend  with them.”

God is leading men, if we are going the wrong way then we are plainly not following God but we have either been deceived by another or we have been  self-deceived into thinking God would lead us contrary to His Word. (wrong way).

Yes you can!  Make the right choices!   2 Corinthians 6:17Separation is something we are good at, the problem is we have separated from God’s commandments.  Let us therefore turn and separate from the wrong to embrace the right – Jesus!
